There’s this guy. He is a direct competitor in my field of service. I know allot about him as he works for a company that I previously worked for. The guy personally is a real creep. How can I take him down. Here are the facts that I know about him. His previously occupation before this service job was mortician assistant. He has told me (back when we were acquaintances) all about how fun it was for him to cut open dead people, play with them, all sorts of disgusting things. He had absolutely no reverence at all for these people. I suspect something else though. There was an event in his life were he was divorced and could never have custody of his kids because of some sort of crime he had committed. Ever since I had known him, all he would talk about, and the thing that would occupy his mind all day long was little boys that he had acquainted himself with. I swear, he would talk with a gleam in his eye about all of the little boys that he has befriended. All, of which were of preteen age. He is full of stories about how he goes on Christian church camping trips as a mentor to kids and purposely disrupts the curriculum of the outing by causing general mayhem. Making the kids play dead while he did his Texas chainsaw massacre thing. And reveling in the other counselors dismay. He is a Jew, denounces Christianity with a passion. He has actually been banned from some churches in his hometown area (Atlanta). He is a protestor. He protests Christian churches about the gay marriage thing . He lives with another gay man that is over 400 lbs. They care for each other and that’s cool but this guy is really mean and the biggest weirdo I’ve ever met. He denounce America and became a Jew to obtain an Israeli passport for some driving reason. Something about the laws there. The guy is capable of anything and has more nerve than you could imagine. I sincerely believe that he is a homosexual-pedophile-necrophiliac and quite possibly a murderer of young children. How can I find out for sure??????????????????

Here is the problem. Months ago a friend who did not know that I no longer drink gave me a bottle of expensive burbon for my birthday. The bottle has been setting on a shelf deep in my closet behind some hanging clothes since then. I was going to re-gift it at Christmas. I arrived back home tonight to discover it missing. There is another person living in the house who I have caught lying before. He has a severe drinking problem. Should I directly ask him? Should I search his room while he is gone? There is another person here who is somewhat close to the suspect. Would it be a good idea to ask him? Perhaps I should say something cryptic to his friend such as "If tonight John has gone down a road I think he did you should tell him that if he comes foreward now there will be less trouble."

I am 90% sure he took it. Like I said he has a record of lying.

If someone is stupid enough to use tarps to make a sweat lodge it should make no difference weather or not it was a beer bust or a "spiritual" weekend. They should not tread lightly or give any deference to the nature of the event. Spirituality should hold no special place when lives are put in danger.

There is something I have observed when people who are in trouble seek help from friends. Without going into a lot of detail it involves attitudes that some have towards people in need. It seems that people who are in helping professions such a licensed social worker are less likely to help out someone in their personal life who needs assistance. On the other hand those who are more willing to lend assistance are those who work outside of helping professions.

What I hear for instance from the social worker is stuff like not wanting to enable someone or that the person in trouble must experience a crisis so that they can come to some realization. They even go so far as to counsel others not to give someone a roof over their head or not to give money or food to the person in crisis.

What is going on here? Is the social worker someone who has become indifferent to human suffering? Do they think that the only way to approach this is thru agencies and professional intervention? Was their compassion somehow educated out of them?

My role in one of these situations was that I allowed a person to stay in a spare room when they were going through a terrible life crisis. I was advised by a family member who is a social worker that I would be "enabling" this person and that letting him "hit bottom" was the best thing. He seemed pretty detached and seemed to lack any sense of compassion.

Fast foreward a few months to find that the man I took in is doing much better because he did not end up on the street. He got a job and offered to pay me rent for the time he was in my house. I told the social worker about this and instead of acknowledging the obvious fact that he was wrong insisted (almost wished) that the person will fail again. BTW one of my motivations for helping this man out was that I was once in a desperate situation and had the good fortune of friends who helped me out and did so despite opposition from so called professionals.

Anyway I am very glad that there are people around who will help others despite the wishes of those who think they know better.

"It's hard to watch an image of Kurt pantomiming other artists' music alongside cartoon characters. Kurt Cobain wrote songs that hold a lot of meaning to people all over the world. We feel he deserves better."

I admit I know next to nothing about Cobain's music, but it seems like a bit of an overreaction to people having the ability to produce images of Cobain singing the music of other artists. It seems to raise his music to the level of sacred rather then just a piece of pop culture.

There may be legitimate copyright concerns, but righly or wrongly it is commonplace for rock music to be used to sell products. In this case the music is not in an advertisement it just gives consumers the ability to project one artist singing music other than his own.

Does anyone find it offensive to picture Cobain singing say a Beatles song or some old standard?

It occurs to me that this may be related my previous post about modern rock musicians always scowling in their pictures.

Another thing I question is the idea that there is a difference between socializing on the web and "real life" I thnk social networks are just another way we do interact with others and that it is part of real life.

Like other so called addictions it is a voluntairy act that we choose to do or not do it. As with the choice to pick up a drink we have control over our actions. We are not powerless. Being on the net is a choice.

To me TV is just a neutral means of communication that can broadcast both very good and very poor programing. There are also some very bad books, yet I cannot imagine anyone refusing to read at all because some books are badly written. You coud even compare television to the internet which is like TV, but with millions of channels.

My own take on it is that it is a form of posturing. The scowling muscian thing seems sort of contrived as if it were some sort of "pc" thing. I am not one to advocate that people must smile for all photographs, but these frowns seem equally staged. It's like the photographer points the camera at the band and says "okay everyone look pissed."

On a secondary and related note I have noticed that among modern rockers it is trendy to say they hate the Beatles. My guess is that it is a generational thing. It's like when I was a teenager I would mock my grandparents for listening to their albums from the swing band era. It was not until years later that I realized some swing bands were pretty good. Not that everyone needs to like the Beatles, just once again it seems like a "pc" thing among young music fans rather than an objective evaluation of older music.

I mean, first, why should I approve of something just because *I* like it? That's a terrible reason. As my dad used to say, "I've been wrong before." (Neil Young said it too, but later, not that I'm suggesting he stole it from my dad...)

Anyway, my main problem with pancakes is that it would be better to have almost anything else instead, esp biscuits and grits. (Sausage are assumed, naturally.)

I also don't "get" rice, but I understand it as a staple. (Besides, it's not as if people who *eat* a lot of rice actually like the *taste* of rice---it's pretty tasteless.) I like "sticky" rice, which you usually have to go to Oriental supermarkets to buy. Buy it in 20 pound bags, I say.

There was a lot of talk last year around tax time about the stimulus check all American tax payers were supposed to receive. In June I went ahead and made a purchase that I might not otherwise have made, about $350, anticipating my stimulus check of at least $300, though I had not received it yet.

In another tribe I was shown a link explaining the stimulus checks were going out in the order of the last 2 digits of our social security numbers. Mine, ending in 73, was not supposed to be mailed out till later in the year. I've been wondering when I would receive it, thinking they are really running behind or something.

Today I did my 2008 income taxes, and a question we are asked when doing taxes is whether or not we received our economic stimulus check! So I suppose if we did we are supposed to pay taxes on that! Also the online tax filing form informs one that you'd have received a notice this year if you'd received the stimulus check, which I haven't received, so I know it wasn't lost in the mail or something.

What I'm wondering now, did anyone else not receive their economic stimulus check who expected to get one? I'm a little outraged. The IRS seems to have backed out of their promise to those with their social security numbers ending in the latter digits!

So i was like.. yeah must be boring beeing a bird. Yuo got the nest, partner.. perfect place.
Then you kinda figures out that you have no dick! Like.. how do male birds copulate?

Thinking of it i guess they must be a bit like a stealth bomber.. Folding it out in need of a missile.

Then comes the next question.. how do they engage? Mid air? Or do they jump up on each other?? Guess i could find it out if i googled about it.. but im to lazy, and after all im looking for interesting answers.

I was shocked to discover that what they mean is that if he declines going immediatly to rehab that we should cut him off as in not give him a place to stay or to give him food. They believe that by doing so it will force his hand and limit his choices.

I will not go along with that plan. If he makes the choice not to go to rehab and he has no place to go I will welcome him to stay in my spare room and I will buy him food. I also have contacts who could offer him employment. I am so angered by this that I may forewarn him of the pending intervention to spare him the humiliation. I have no booze in my house so that is not an issue. The strong arm tactics are not acceptable to me.

For instance a foreign ruler who fraudulently steals an election and tortures, and spies on people is a "junta", "dictator" or "despot", but with Shrub, I mean Bush, it's an "Administration". If you're a Christian who shoots abortion doctors and blows-up gay discos you are a "Fundamentalist", but if you blow shit up and shoot people and you're from the Middle East, you're a "Radical Muslim".

There's got to be dozens of these double standards. Can you think of others?

I took to doing it out of financial necessity at one point. I use clippers. Problem is, it's hard to cut the back of my own head with them. (If anyone could teach me how to do this, I'm all ears!) So the back is long(er, not really long) while the front and top are short. Too short in one place where I gapped it, but hey, I'm taller than most people, so almost no one notices.
