Well.. it all startedout as a joke at work. I read an article about a study of small birds.. How they nest. Prefernces, food sources and so on. It was compared to human behavior and choice of partner.
So i was like.. yeah must be boring beeing a bird. Yuo got the nest, partner.. perfect place.
Then you kinda figures out that you have no dick! Like.. how do male birds copulate?
Thinking of it i guess they must be a bit like a stealth bomber.. Folding it out in need of a missile.
Then comes the next question.. how do they engage? Mid air? Or do they jump up on each other?? Guess i could find it out if i googled about it.. but im to lazy, and after all im looking for interesting answers.

Re: A question about bird sexuality..
Tue, January 20, 2009 - 10:01 AMWell, with chickens, the male chases the hen down, jumps on her back, grabs the back of her head/neck feathers with his beak. The hen squats under the rooster's weight, her tail sort of moves to the side... It's pretty quick.
As the hens get older, when they see the rooster chasing her down, she just automatically squats and prepares for mounting. -
